Advocacy Groups

Advocacy groups are organizations developed and maintained by patients, families, physicians and other interested people. Many of these provide helpful information and resources. They may also serve as lobbies for funding. The reliability of information provided by advocacy groups cannot be guaranteed, but in general they are helpful and accurate.

National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship (NCCS)
The mission of the National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship (NCCS) is to lead and strengthen the survivorship movement, empower cancer survivors, and advocate for policy issues that affect cancer survivors' quality of life. NCCS provides publications, answers to questions about employment rights, and assistance locating legal resources.

provides assistance by oncology social workers, including answers to questions about employment, insurance, and finances. It also provides help in locating local resources.
